Farmer Ben is a recurring character in The Berenstain Bears series.

Biography

Farmer Ben owns the only farm in Bear Town and is great friends with the Bear family. He has an extremely short temper and Mrs. Ben is the only one who will make him relax when he gets extremely mad. He is somewhat superstitious as well. Every Friday night he plays chess with Papa Bear (as Papa mentions in The Berenstain Bears and the Trouble With Grownups).

Physical appearance

Farmer Ben wears square-framed glasses, a hat, overalls and a bandana around his neck. In both animated adaptations of The Berenstain Bears, Farmer Ben's glasses are instead round. He is voiced by Frank Welker in the 1985 series and Philip Williams in the 2003 series.
