Michael Austin Cera (born June 7, 1988, 36 years old)[1] is a Canadian actor, comedian and musician of British and Sicilian heritage. He started his career as a child actor, most notably portraying Young Chuck Barris in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and a character in My Louisiana Sky. He is known for his role as George Michael Bluth on the sitcom Arrested Development and for his leading roles in the films such as Superbad, Juno and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World along supporting roles such as Barbie. In 2013, he played an exaggerated version of himself in This Is the End. Cera made his Broadway debut in the 2014 installment of Kenneth Lonergan's This Is Our Youth. For his performance in the 2018 installment of Lonergan's Lobby Hero, Cera was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play. He provided the voice of Brother Bear for the first two seasons of the 2002 Berenstain Bears series. The role of Brother was given to Michael D'Ascenzo for the third season as Cera was unable to continue providing Brother's voice after going through puberty. |
